Our Philosophy
The Writing School Inc. offers writing programs dedicated to fostering a love of reading and writing in students from grades 3rd through 12th. We offer dynamic spring break and summer reading classes and writing classes designed to inspire creativity, improve literacy skills, and prepare students for academic and career success. Our programs are aligned with Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, ensuring a personalized and engaging educational experience for every student. We emphasize culturally responsive teaching, incorporating a diverse range of literature and activities to reflect the varied backgrounds of our students. Through partnerships with local BIPOC organizations and creative studios, we provide enriching field trips and real-world applications of literacy skills.
